A small cast-iron radiator that would have been fitted in houses from the mid 19th century onwards. Iron radiators with hot water inside were invented in 1855 and rapidly became popular in the US and Europe. This piece was digitally modelled by me with reference to real items, then 3d printed in high detail resin and hand finished. The radiator has ten upright tubes and four feet. It also features two inlet pipes to the floor, and a wall fixing bracket behind. The bracket provides enough clearance to fit the radiator in front of a 2mm thick skirting board.
